Construction Process Overview

  • The Anderson Hospital project required a high-performance air barrier solution that could be installed efficiently despite fluctuating early spring weather conditions. With cold mornings, warm afternoons, and intermittent moisture, maintaining consistent installation progress was critical to keeping the project on schedule.
  • By utilizing AVM’s Aussie Shield™ 300 PLM and 300 PLF systems, the construction team was able to proceed with application across a wider range of environmental conditions, including damp substrates and light rain. This flexibility eliminated the need to wait for ideal weather windows and reduced delays typically associated with traditional systems.
  • Additionally, the ability to install the air barrier prior to roof completion allowed multiple trades to remain active simultaneously, improving coordination and maintaining overall construction momentum.
